Ticket On-sale Round 2!

We are sooo sorry about the ticketing fail some of you experienced this morning! That was definitely not how we wanted to begin this year's LIB journey (curse you mercury retrograde).

In order to remedy the situation we have decided to switch to a bigger ticketing company better prepared to handle the massive wave LIB Rush-N-Get-Em has become. Y'all really know how to rush! We are now set to restart our on-saletomorrow morning (10am PST Feb 19th) through the Elevate ticketing platform (who are partnered with Gingerbread, the wristband provider that is streamlining this year's box office process).
Everyone who has already successfully purchased tickets or RV and car camping passes through BeTicketing will be honored. The remaining unsold earlybird tickets will still be available during the new on-sale for 24 hours.

Again, our deepest apologies. The experience of the fans and participants of all of our events is the highest priority to us and we’re doing everything to ensure this won't happen again.
Please see the new on-sale details below and getting ready to Rush-N-Get-Em once again!
Sincerely,
The Flemming brothers and The Do LaB Team!

Lightning in a Bottle drops Official 2014 Trailer

Solidifying its position as the premiere boutique festival in California (and likely the entire country) Lightning in a Bottle music and arts festival shows why they simply can't be outdone.

The video shares both dimensions of what makes this festival special. Both yin and yang are on display as viewers get warmed up only to be dropped into a magical land of sensory overload.

This video features some of last year's performers including  Purity Ring, NicolasJaar, Rusko,Griz, Tycho, Lucent Dossier Experience, Emancipator, Paper Diamond, Panty Raid, Lee Burridge, and Herbert Bail Orchestra while also providing voice to the elders and children of this beautiful festival experience.
The 2014 Lightning in a Bottle will take place at the San Antonio Recreation Area in Bradley, CA on Memorial Day weekend May 22nd to May 26th. Lake San Antonio sits almost perfectly in between Los Angeles and San Francisco in the beautiful Monterrey County (Google Maps).

Rush-N-Get-Em tickets available on Feb 18th at 10AM for 24 hrs, over on the LiB website, so warm up those fingers because these bad boys are gonna go fast! And stay tuned for the lineup announcement in a few weeks.

*Produced by The Do LaB, Lighting in a Bottle is known for featuring electronic music pioneers, in addition to featuring groundbreaking transformative speakers and education, world-class yoga classes, and workshops surrounding dance, sustainability, permaculture, and healing arts.

OUR LADY rises in NYC by Our Lady — Kickstarter

OUR LADY rises in NYC by Our Lady — Kickstarter:

This project speaks to me in a number of ways.  It is a battle cry for the LGBT community.  It is a cry for help.  It is about saving our kids.  It is about the amazing, painstaking art of drag. It is a tribe-like event in my part of the world.  Please check out this Kickstarter and help if you can.  I think this is a project that needs to happen.

The Celebration of American Crafts is an annual juried exhibition and sale sponsored by CAW. The exhibition is held in CAW's handsome two-story Hilles Gallery.

A prestigious showcase for professional craft artists, the Celebration presents fine contemporary American crafts in every medium. To maintain the high quality of the Celebration, the acceptance process is very selective, with a limited number of exhibitors chosen to represent each medium. The Celebration attracts nearly 10,000 visitors from all over the Northeast, and media coverage is extensive. Work is sold on a consignment basis, and CAW retains 40% of each sale. These funds go toward the support of the community art school.

Call for Volunteers
CAW needs volunteers to help staff this event. Volunteer while surrounded by fine crafts from across America! Volunteers are needed to help clerk the exhibition and sale in November and December. If interested, please call (203) 562-4927 x12 or email celebration@creativeartsworkshop.org.

Dumbo Arts Festival this weekend in BROOKLYN!!!

Each year the DUMBO Arts Festival seeks to highlight Brooklyn’s commitment to and presence in the arts community by presenting the best in local, national, and international art amid the breathtaking backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline.
The DUMBO Arts Festival attracts 200,000 visitors over 3 days with the participation of over 500 artists from a variety of disciplines, 100 studios, 50 galleries and stages and 100 programming partners. This year, the Festival will take place on Friday, September 23rd, Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th. The official Festival hours are Friday 6pm to 9pm, Saturday 12pm to 8pm, Sunday 12pm to 6pm and 6pm to midnight all three nights for all outdoor projections.
Art revelers can enjoy: visiting artists in their studios or making murals on the street; musicians, dancers, poets, performance and circus artists throughout the neighborhood, on street corners, sidewalk stages and in the park; communing with instrument makers in workshops; hearing from tech gurus about the latest advances; and joining walking tours to hear city historians share little-known stories of the neighborhood.
Please join us at the festival that brings DUMBO’s creativity to the world and the world’s creativity to DUMBO every Fall.
The Dumbo Arts Festival is produced by Dalzell Productions and Two Trees Management.
The festival has been getting a lot of attention from all types of media – print, online, social, sky-writing… we appreciate it!  If you are interested in media access to a specific artist, event, or have any questions, please contact our fantastic communications team at Rubenstein, c/o Barbara Wagner: bwagner@rubenstein.com
